As a Buying Coordinator at The Medical Export Group (MEG), you will be at the heart of our procurement operations. Your responsibilities include ensuring on-time and accurate delivery of goods, maintaining detailed and precise administrative records, and driving successful negotiations with suppliers. Your proactive approach and seamless collaboration with the Buyer are essential to achieving our procurement targets and maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our supply chain.

In this dynamic position, you will be the driving force behind the entire procurement process, managing everything from start to finish. The role demands speed and precision, as your efforts directly support humanitarian aid initiatives. You'll be working closely with teams across Order Planning, Inbound Supply, Sales, Quality Assurance and Finance to deliver results that not only meet but exceed expectations, making a real impact on the ground.
Your Responsibilities
As a Buying Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Requesting samples and obtaining necessary documentation from suppliers for projects and purchase orders.
- Assisting the Buyer in sourcing new products and suppliers.
- Requesting and evaluating quotations, considering prices, lead times, and product details.
- Advising the Buyer and Sales teams on the most advantageous offers.
- Gathering and sharing technical product information, including IPPQs, COPPs, and product specifications.
- Negotiating discounts and payment terms within your authority.
- Maintaining accurate records of product details, purchase prices, and delivery times in the ERP system.
- Ensuring the core assortment’s pricing information is precise and up-to-date.
- Creating and managing new item and supplier entries in the system.
- Adhering to internal guidelines and procedures.
- Proposing and implementing process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. The ideal candidate is someone who approaches challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, consistently delivering high-quality outcomes. The preferred candidate holds at least an MBO-level qualification and brings a minimum of three years of practical experience in logistics or procurement. Experience in an international trading environment, combined with the capability to perform and think at an HBO level, is highly valued. A strong command of both Dutch and English, in written and spoken form, is a fundamental requirement. Experience in working with suppliers and proficiency in ERP systems are highly desirable, with familiarity in Navision considered an added advantage. Furthermore, you are:
